The passphrase to unpack the encrypted 7z archives: ThanksForYourSupport
Work on Window Maker Live took many hours, days, weeks, and even months of writing code, debugging, and testing. To be sustainable, the amount of time invested in these activities for your benefit need to be sufficiently rewarded. Contrary to popular believe, independent Open Source developers also have to eat and pay the rent.
Unfortunately, we are not in any altruistic position anymore to freely give away the results of our hard work. and the level of donations so far leaves too much to be desired. So please accept the following arrangement as a slight nudge to trigger your generosity towards our work on wmlive.
The download area offers three available download options:
The i386 variant is freely available and ready for use now. But to unpack the two 7z archives of the amd64 and arm64 variant, repectively, a password is required. This password will become freely available on this very page at the end of this year. But until then, only downloaders who supported our work on wmlive with any donation amount will be provided with the required password.
People preferring to not donate, for whatever reason, always have the possibility to build the desired wmlive ISO variant on their own using the provided source code. Or simply wait until the end of the year, when the password will be publicly disclosed.
Fellow open source developers with a proven body of source contributions are eligible to receive a free password upon explicit request via electronic mail. If any of your open source work is even contained in wmlive, we'd be honored to provide you the needed password.
To support our work and express your appreciation in a meaningful way, please consider donating as proposed:
A secondary option is using our ko-fi.com/wmlive donation page, which also allows for repeating monthly payments.
If you'd prefer other channels to make any kind of donation, please feel free to contact us via mail "wmlive AT users.sourceforge.net" to arrange for any further details.
